Introduction
Global warming is probably the issue of the decade. It has been given just so much attention and importance that it is really difficult to separate the facts, myths and interpretations (right or wrong), from each other. A number of people have already established themselves as self-proclaimed global warming specialists and advice people on how they should try to undo things done by their counterparts if they want to save the world.
Some People do believe that Global warming is a hoax.
But, there are also people belonging to a different school of thought and they claim that global warming is one of the most hyped issues. All the data presented in the form of evidence is insufficient and generally used out of context and hence, most of the conclusions arrived at using such data is flawed. Take the case of increased carbon dioxide levels for example, global warming alarmists quote that the levels of carbon dioxide are increasing alarmingly because of mankind and this will have drastic effects.
Although the effects of increased carbon dioxide levels stated are irrefutable, but an important point has been carefully left out of public view which can turn the tables. Even before man started polluting the atmosphere with smoke from cars and factories, the carbon dioxide levels have reached serious levels, the highest being well over 18 times the present levels, and that too without human intervention!
So, how are we to believe that man is playing a part in anything that is happening and it is just not a cycle of nature? Similarly, a number of other claims can be proved to be based on illogical of out of context evidence. Quite a few people who were themselves global warming alarmists earlier have turned to this new school of thought after finding out such things for themselves.
But, as it always is, the people with power and money seem to support the global warming alarm bandwagon and hence, those opposing this alarm have had their funding cut down, or reports kept away from the public eye, and a lot more. Although most of such claims cannot be proved right or wrong in the public easily, this definitely calls on us to be a little more careful when we hear stuff about global warming and use our own brains instead of closing our eyes and trusting other’s words.
