Scientists all over the world are now more worried about the cause and effects of global warming. Global warming is the deadliest threat at present that planet earth is facing. Man has undoubtedly achieved great mile stones in technological development. But the technology has come with both advantages and disadvantages. The condition of earth is deteriorating day by day because of global warming. It would be like making death coffins for ourselves, if we don’t act now and take measures to prevent global warming.

Emission of gases like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide etc is a major cause of global warming.

Emission of carbon dioxide from Power Plants is a major cause of global warming. Power plants burn fossil fuels to generate electricity which emits a lot of carbon dioxide.

Ever imagined life without using your car? The fact is that by using car you are contributing to global warming. Vehicles around the world are a major cause of global warming.
Carbon dioxide from Airplanes
Airplanes are another cause of global warming. They emit tons of carbon dioxide annually. According to the estimation of United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) the share of airplanes in global warming is 3.5%.
Carbon dioxide from buildings
Emission of carbon dioxide from commercial buildings and residential buildings is an important cause of global warming. A lot of fuel is burnt during the process of development and use of these properties. So remember, your house is also a cause of global warming.
Emission of methane
The emission of methane is also a major cause of global warming. Methane is more effective in trapping heat in the atmosphere than carbon dioxide. Methane is released from ice and oceans when temperature increases.
Deforestation
Deforestation is another cause of global warming which we can bring in control. A lot of trees are being cut for either industrial or residential development. By doing this we throw tons of carbon dioxide into atmosphere every year causing global warming.

If I had to explain in simple words, then I would say, global warming is basically rise in the temperature of the planet Earth due to reasons like increased emission of carbon dioxide, methane and deforestation.
